Peggy Cadzow

Beaver, Alaska

My parents are Bertha and Earl Cadzow. My maternal grandparents are Tom and Nellie Carroll of Fort Yukon. My maternal grandparents are Cliff and Margaret Cadzow Fairchild of Fort Yukon.

I learned to make sun catchers by watching my grandmother Margaret Cadzow. Sewing is in my blood and I love the quiet time. My grandmother Margaret Cadzow taught me to sew well. I also sew beads and skins.

The wilderness and my subsistence way of life are what I love about living in my small village.
